Most of our vertical liquid level indicators offer flexibility by allowing configuration from normally open to normally closed simply by removing the retainer and reversing the float. In the normally open state, the switch remains OFF until the liquid lifts the float, making contact with the elastic ring and switching to the ON position. When activated, the system can automatically begin emptying the tank until the switch turns OFF again, signaling the system to refill the tank.
